What You Need to Know
Boulder-based Cholaca provides liquid cacao and coconut sugar that are perfectly paired with a robust malt backbone. The result is utterly sublime. I don’t need to tell you it’s good. You’ll find that our for yourself. But just the same, here’s the review.
Appearance
The porter pours a mahogany hue and is topped by a tan head that offers a little retention and lacing.
Aroma
The aromatics are delightfully intense with a scent of coconut and coffee.
Flavor
The palate packs rich flavors of coconut and coffee backed by a bittersweet mixture of roast malt and chocolate.

Mouthfeel
Its feel has a medium body and moderate carbonation.
Overall
The Death By Coconut is a fantastic drinking experience. Its aroma is amazing and it tastes wonderful. With such a flavorful palate, it might seem like its feel should have more heft, but as this is a porter, it’s spot on. If you enjoy a roasty dark beer with coconut and chocolate, this one is a must.
