Gordon Biersch Brewing Company is an American brewery founded by Dan Gordon and Dean Biersch. The pair founded their first brewpub in 1988 and was subsequently sold while a production facility was built in San Jose, California. The New England IPA style is relatively new and it’s also known as a Hazy IPA. Its grist may include oats, wheat or other adjuncts to promote haziness. Known for a “juicy” character that’s frequently used to describe taste and aroma attributes often present in these beers which result from late, often very large, additions of hops.
