You’re Not Wrong is an American Double IPA collaboratively brewed in the New England style by Civil Society Brewing Co. and Sand City Brewing Co. For the purposes of this craft beer review, the ale was served in an IPA glass from a can.

Appearance

The DIPA pours an opaque ruddy yellow and is topped by a thick cap of puffy off-white foam that shows good retention. A smattering of residue clings to the glass following the reduction.

Aroma

The aroma is faint but wafts the nose with a scent of tropical fruit.

Flavor

The palate begins with mild hoppy flavors pine and orange that recede to a base of lightly toasted bread. A stronger but still quite mild bite of orange citrus follows. Flavors of tangerine, peach, and melon round out the finish.

Mouthfeel

Its feel is smooth with a medium body and moderate carbonation. Finishes dryly with a slight astringency.

Overall

Its appearance is solid and its feel is spot on. A relatively high ABV is well hidden. The aroma isn’t particularly strong but pleasant. Its palate is as juicy as you’d expect out of a New Englander, but as a Double IPA, it could use a little more bite. Of course, I could be wrong. But per the beer’s name, I must be right. Regardless, You’re Not Wrong to give this juicy brew a try.
