Appearance
The IPA pours a slightly hazy golden orange hue and is topped by a thick cap of dense, off-white foam that shows excellent retention. Residue and lace clutch the sides while an effervescent stream of bubbles continuously rise in the glass.
Aroma
The aroma mixes tropical fruit with a soft scent of baked bread.
Flavor
The palate begins with a taste of toasted bread that transitions to a modest bite of citrus and pine. Mellow notes of tropical fruit and honey round out the finish. Biscuit ties the palate together.
Mouthfeel
Its feel is smooth with a medium body and matching carbonation. The finish is dry with a less-than-moderate astringency.

Overall
Its appearance is superb, the aroma is pleasant, and its feel is spot on. The palate is absolutely wonderful. Yes, there are IBUs aplenty but the balance of this brew is terrific. High marks all around. The Racer 5 IPA is an excellent representation of the style.
