Appearance
The ale pours a crystal-clear copper with a thick cap of dense, off-white foam that persists briefly. Gobs of lace cling to the glass as the head recedes.
Aroma
Aroma is fragrant at first but loses its punch quickly. Faint as it becomes, it’s still pleasant; a scent of pumpkin, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg. A hint of floral hops appears as the beer warms.
Flavor
The palate begins with a blend of cola and orange, ramping towards a bite of citrus. Finishes with a hint of pumpkin, sweet vanilla, and nutmeg.
Mouthfeel
The feel is a touch thin and has a medium-light body with moderate carbonation.

Overall
The Post Road Pumpkin Ale has a nice aroma, but for a pumpkin ale, there’s far too little pumpkin flavor to be found in its palate. The feel could use a bit more heft as well. It’s certainly palatable but there are better representations of the style available.
