Flavor

The palate opens with a big, juicy bite of grapefruit and orange followed by herbal and piney hops. Malt is subdued and makes just a brief appearance at the finish. That malt does impart a welcome flash of caramel, though.

Mouthfeel

The mouthfeel has a medium body, a moderate carbonation, and a dry finish.

Overall

The palate for the IPA1A is predominantly hoppy and a little more balance would be preferable. However, it is quite refreshing and a solid representation of the style.
