Flavor

The palate opens with a hoppy bite that’s herbal and earthy, backed by a hefty amount of malt. The taste profile finishes sweetly with orange marmalade.

Mouthfeel

Its feel has a body that’s less than medium with moderate carbonation.

Overall

The Hoptical Illusion is a nicely balanced, yet imperfect IPA. Most glaring, its body is too thin for the style.
