Appearance
This Pale pours a clear copper and is topped by a frothy, thin white head that lingers briefly and leaves behind a small patch of lacing.
Aroma
A fragrant aroma of hops is both floral and citrusy.
Flavor
Taste profile begins equally hoppy with a herbal and earthy bite balanced with caramel from a pair of malts.
Mouthfeel
Mouthfeel is crisp and dry with a medium body and moderate carbonation.
Overall
The Drake’s 1500 Pale Ale features a blend of four hops and you might expect it to be overly hopped. But that’s not the case, and this is in fact, a lovely Pale Ale.
Recommended Pairings
Drake’s recommends the following food pairings with their 1500 Pale Ale: wood-Fired pizza with pepperoni, peppers, and onions; a burger with Gorgonzola; fish and chips with lemon and malt vinegar.
