Citra Hopped Live Pale Ale is an American Pale Ale brewed by Southern Tier Brewing Co., and for the purposes of this craft beer review, the ale was served in a tulip pint glass from a can.

Appearance

The Pale pours a slightly hazy straw and is topped by a thick cap of fluffy white foam that shows modest retention. Gobs of sticky lace cling to the sides of the glass.

Aroma

The aroma is a hoppy mix of pine and citrus.

Flavor

Cracker malt and hints of tropical fruit lead the palate. Lemon and lime citrus is followed by a mild bite of peppery hops. Its bitterness is sweetly mellowed by tropical fruit.
