Appearance
The ale pours a relatively clear marigold hue and is topped by a thick cap of soapy white foam that shows fair retention. The head’s reduction leaves behind a spittle of lace along the sides of the glass.
Aroma
The aroma wafts tart fruits of lemon and green apple with bready malt.
Flavor
Tart fruit and cracker malt lead the palate to a sour bite of lemon and green apple blended with a dose of floral hops. A subtle note of tropical fruit is picked up on the swallow. Sourdough bread ties the palate together.
Mouthfeel
Its feel is smooth with a body that’s a shade under medium and moderate carbonation. Finishes slightly dry and puckeringly astringent.
