Baba Black Lager is a German-style Schwarzbier brewed by Uinta Brewing Co., and for the purposes of this craft beer review, the lager was served in a tulip pint glass from a can.
Appearance
The Schwarzbier pours a mahogany hue that bleeds to amber at the edges. A tall stack of beige foam caps the beer; receding slowly and leaving a lovely, sticky lattice on the glass.
Aroma
The aromatics are faint with a scent that’s herbal and slightly toasty.
Flavor
The palate offers tasty roast that transitions to a mild bite of herbal hops before finishing with an underlying chocolate sweetness.
Mouthfeel
Smooth mouthfeel has a medium body with low carbonation.
Overall
At only 4% ABV the Baba Black Lager delivers a nice roast and chocolate flavor in an easy drinking, sessionable lager-style package.
