Alhambra Tradicional is a Pale Lager brewed by Grupo Cervezas Alhambra, SL, and for the purposes of this craft beer review, the lager was served in a tumbler from a can.
Appearance
The lager pours a crystal-clear gold and is topped by a finger-thick cap of loose white foam that dissipates rapidly. A smattering of lace clings to the sides of the glass. A few fine bubbles continuously rise in the glass.
Aroma
The aroma is faint but has a scent of grain.
Flavor
Cracker malt leads the palate to a mild hoppy flavor that’s grassy and floral. A touch of pepper and a hint of honey round out the finish.
Mouthfeel
Its feel is crisp and smooth with a light body and moderate-high carbonation.
Overall
Its presentation is adequate but the aroma is all but absent. Its feel is lively but a little bit watery. On the plus side, the palate does offer some hoppy balance to counter its simplistic grain flavor. And so, while the Alhambra Tradicional isn’t particularly special, it is a light, refreshing, and easy drinking brew.
