Tennessee Brew Works and Colts Chocolate Company have partnered to release the new Colts Bolts Imperial Stout, inspired by Mackenzie Colt’s famous chocolate candy.
Founded in 1984, Mackenzie Colt “put her hand to the creation of amazing desserts and chocolates. Her sweet treats soon became highly coveted by friends, family, famous musicians, and celebrities.”
The original Colts Bolts chocolate candy is described as:
“Milk or dark chocolate, custom blended peanut butter, and freshly roasted whole almonds make the Colts Bolts a taste of pure decadence. While the combination of peanut butter and chocolate has been around since the early 1900s, it took an innovative chocolatier to discover this unparalleled blend.”
“At 10% Alcohol by Volume, the Colts Bolts Imperial Pastry Stout showcases the same tasty qualities as the original iconic chocolate candy,” according to Christian Spears, founder and president, Tennessee Brew Works. “This beer is brewed with real peanut butter, almonds and chocolate — all natural ingredients — consistent with the brewing principles of all Tennessee Brew Works beers.”
The beer will be available at the Tennessee Brew Works taproom 11 AM Friday, December 13th on draft and in 12 oz. bottles to-go, limit 4 per-person. Additionally, the Picnic Tap at Hunter’s Station will be tapping a keg for their Grand Opening Saturday, December 14th. Limited amounts will be available throughout middle Tennessee, Chattanooga and Knoxville thereafter.
