Just like the rest of us, veteran quarterback Eli Manning of the New York Giants, is just a guy who enjoys a cold brew. He’s always been a beer guy and is known to enjoy sharing a few with his teammates after every NFL game.
Apparently Manning has been consistent with this routine throughout his career. But until now that fact was only known by his teammates and was relatively unknown to the public.
Ian O’Connor of ESPN reports that Eli Manning has someone in every NFL stadium across the country to deliver him either a 6 pack or a 12 pack of beer to the team bus after every game, regardless of the outcome.
Eli Manning always drank beer on the team bus. It was a Broadway Joe kind of thing to do, and a fact that might run counter to an image Manning spent absolutely no time crafting. But win, lose or draw, Manning would find someone on the road to buy him a 6 pack or 12 pack that he would carry to the back of the bus, on ice, and share with some veterans as they discussed the game on the ride to the airport.
Even then, Manning’s consistency stunned his New York Giants teammates. “It was unbelievable,” said Lawrence Tynes, the kicker who won two championships with the quarterback. “He had a guy in every f—ing stadium in the league to get him that beer.”

An appreciation for competitive drinking was also revealed when only short time before his storied career ended, he was spotted at a Hoboken bar celebrating a victory with his teammates by playing flip cup.
However, rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, who took Manning’s starting job, stated that was probably just a one-off.
“That was a one-shot deal there. It’s fun. Like I said, he’s a fun guy to be around, he’s a fun guy to hang out with, and I’ve really enjoyed being with him,” Jones told reporters.
The New York Giants’ season is over and Eli Manning’s career has come to a close. And yet, we’re only just now learning about his penchant for beer drinking. Cheers to you, Eli. We hardly knew ye.
