Water Buffalo Brewery
Born among the wheat fields in 2012, Water Buffalo Brewery showcases the best of Northwest ingredients in old-world inspired brews. We’re a one barrel “nano” brewery in Walla Walla, Washington.
Over the past six years of brewing, we’ve transformed a dirt floor ten-by-ten-foot shack and a hundred-year-old locust stump into a solar-powered brewery (now with concrete floors). A spring 2016 expansion included a walk-in cooler with six rotating taps. Last year brewery upgrades included a custom wooden bar and tasting area. This year’s project will be beginning the bottling line, using returnable re-usable bottles. Look for them in local Walla Walla stores.
The brewery and its taproom are open by appointment only for tasting, tours, and growler fills.
Why Water Buffalo? They’re the brewer’s favorite animal. He’s spent a lot of time working on farms with the water buffalo and grew to deeply appreciate the animals and their docile manners.
Water Buffalo Brewery is an independent craft brewer.

Proud to Support Independent Craft Brewers
For years, small and independent U.S. craft breweries have been turning the beer world upside down. Their ability to take risks, innovate flavors and build better communities has made the U.S. the craft beer capital of the world.
To proudly display that independent spirit, the Brewers Association created a symbol to unify U.S. craft breweries and those who want to support them. This certified mark gives beer lovers an easy way to identify independent craft beer.
