Castle Island Brewing Co.

Castle Island Brewing Co. is an award-winning brewery dedicated to the idea that we should all be excellent to each other. With a deep portfolio of ales and lagers, we make offerings that are both amazing and approachable. Whether you find yourself discovering Castle Island for the first time or have returned for another round, you can expect a stellar experience from the very first to the very last sip. You can find our beer throughout southern New England in cans and on draft, as well as at our Norwood brewery and taproom.
History
The story begins in October of 2015 as the seeds are planted when Company Founder, Adam Romanow, ditches the desk for a brewing apprenticeship. By May 2011 Adam realizes he’s hooked and decides to open his own brewery. He begins to conduct market research, including many nights atop a local bar stool. For over two years he searches for a spot in South Boston but eventually realizes that such an effort is futile. Finally, in March 2015 a lease is signed, and Castle Island locks down a home in Norwood, Massachusetts. In September the buildout begins as a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse is turned into a brewery. In November Adam and Head Brewer Matt DeLuca pull an all-nighter to brew the first batch of beer, named TBD. That December a 5-year journey comes to fruition when Castle Island Brewing Co. opens to the public!
