Cape May Brewing Company

Cape May Brewing Company started in 2011, with three guys making one beer in a 1,500 sq. ft. space. Now, they’ve got over 32,000 sq. ft. of space at the Cape May Airport and several hundred flagship, seasonal, and small-batch brews under their umbrella, distributed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Their original space is now dedicated to experimental brewing and their award-winning tasting room, with a separate, industrial brewing facility across the street.

History

Once upon a time, 20-something Ryan Krill earned a six-figure salary working in finance and real estate development in Manhattan, while his college roommate, Chris Henke, designed commercial satellites. During a summer weekend at the Jersey shore, they brewed a batch of beer with Ryan’s dad. “Should we open a brewery?” Ryan asked, only half-serious. But, by the following year, the three guys had secured a space at Cape May Airport where they concocted a makeshift brew system and honed their beer-making skills.

In 2011, they started with one client. Today, there are hundreds of accounts in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware proudly serving the guys’ award-winning recipes. And Cape May’s fearless leaders have never looked back.

In July 2011, we found our home at the Cape May Airport, excitedly purchased our forklift, and delivered our first keg of Cape May IPA to Cabanas Beach Bar and Grill. Since then, we’ve proudly crafted balanced and flavorful ales and lagers for thousands of happy locals and visitors.

Throughout the year, hundreds of our beers can be found throughout New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware. We are proud to distribute our beers to hundreds of bars, restaurants, and liquor stores, on draft and in cans, ensuring premium freshness and excellent service.

Our tasting room is one of the largest and most accessible in the state, with a spacious and sunny beer garden. You can visit our gift shop, “The Brewtique,” and take our interactive, self-guided tour. While many production breweries are only open a few hours per week, we are open daily from 12 PM to 8 PM for tours and tastings.
