Boston Beer Company

The Boston Beer Company’s passion for never settling, and brewing quality, flavorful beers started with their founder, Jim Koch. He brewed the first batch of Boston Lager in his kitchen from a recipe that belonged to his great great grandfather that he found in his father’s attic back in the early 1980’s.
The Boston Beer Company was founded in 1984 and their first brand of beer was named Samuel Adams after Founding Father Samuel Adams, an American revolutionary patriot.
The company has come a long way since that first batch was brewed in Jim Koch’s kitchen. Boston Beer launched Angry Orchard brand hard ciders in 2012. They completed a merger with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in the summer of 2019.
Based on sales volume from last year, the Boston Beer Company is the second-largest craft brewery in the United States, behind Yuengling.
But, even though the company has grown significantly, Boston Beer continues to be an independent craft brewery that’s committed to brewing only the best-crafted beers for their drinkers.
