Allagash Brewing Company

Allagash Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery that’s located in Portland, Maine. Since 1995, the brewery has been dedicated to crafting the best Belgian-inspired beers in the world, all while giving back to the community that has supported them along the way.
Best known for our flagship beer, Allagash White, we also enjoy aging beer in oak barrels (beginning with the launch of Curieux in 2004) and spontaneously fermented beers (beginning with our traditional Coolship in 2007). Come up and visit us — we’d love to show you around.
The company was founded by Rob Tod who is a recent winner of the 2019 James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine, Spirits, or Beer Professional.
Earning coveted Great American Beer Festival, World Beer Cup, and European Beer Star Awards, Allagash has been deemed one of the best American Breweries of the decade by Paste Magazine and one of the best breweries in America by Gear Patrol.
Allagash is a Certified B Corp that has been recognized as one of Maine’s best places to work for seven years running, and you’ll feel the shared passion of their staff when you stop by.
Their award-winning Belgian-style ales are available for tasting 7 days a week. The brewery loves hosting visitors in their tasting room and they also offer tours.
In addition to their signature Allagash White — a Belgian-style wheat beer — you’ll find wild, sour, barrel-aged, and spontaneously fermented beers to try as well.
